Regional Manager – (Desk-based Advice)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial services professional to lead and develop a team of telephone-based Independent Financial Advisers within a well-established and growing wealth management firm.
In this role you will be responsible for motivating and managing a team of IFAs based near Birmingham, ensuring delivery of high quality holistic financial planning advice and driving organic revenue growth and profitability, all while maintaining full compliance with FCA regulatory standards including Consumer Duty.
Please note this role is mainly office-based.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing and motivating a team of telephone-based Independent Financial Advisers in the Midlands, ensuring alignment with company values and vision
- Ensuring the team delivers high quality holistic advice and achieves good client outcomes in line with FCA guidelines and Consumer Duty requirements
- Driving team KPIs with a focus on organic growth, client and adviser retention
- Reviewing client feedback including complaints, breaches and surveys, and implementing positive improvements
- Supporting pre-approval checking and file checking pre and post-sale as required
- Regularly reviewing business development plans and adviser performance including annual client reviews
- Proactively working to retain advisers and identifying areas of risk
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrable experience building and managing successful financial services teams
- Strong understanding of FCA regulatory requirements including Consumer Duty and Treating Customers Fairly
- Minimum Level 4 Diploma qualification (OCA standard)
- Previous Sales Management and Training & Competence Management experience
- Relevant industry supervision qualification desirable — H15, J07 or AF6
- Accomplished communicator with experience engaging individuals and groups
- Ability to attain SPS
