We are working with a leading national financial planning firm to recruit a Senior Manager into their highly specialised Personal Injury & Court of Protection (PICOP) team.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for managing and developing a team of Financial Advisers who support clients through complex and often life-changing circumstances. The position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and emotional intelligence.

The Opportunity:

You will lead a team of 14 Advisers (9 in Bury, 5 in London), ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant financial advice while driving both individual and team performance.

This role offers the opportunity to work within a well-established and respected PICOP function, supporting vulnerable clients and helping secure their long-term financial futures. It is an environment where empathy, professionalism, and technical excellence are equally important.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Financial Advisers across multiple locations
  • Set clear objectives and create structured business plans for individuals and the wider team
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, observations, and coaching sessions to drive performance
  • Ensure team members meet or exceed business targets and compliance standards
  • Identify opportunities for growth through data analysis and market insight
  • Work closely with Operations and Paraplanning teams to deliver an efficient client service
  • Oversee elements of business sign-off in line with regulatory requirements
  • Support the delivery of SMCR responsibilities and maintain high professional standards

About You:

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (DipPFS/DipFA essential)
  • Proven experience managing and developing Financial Advisers
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of the advisory process
  • A flexible and adaptive leadership style, able to support advisers at different stages of their careers
  • Commercially astute, with a track record of delivering results through others
  • Able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
  • Empathetic and professional, with an understanding of the sensitivities involved in PICOP work

(J07 or equivalent supervision qualification would be advantageous)

What’s on Offer:

  • £95,000 – £110,000 basic salary + bonus
  • Hybrid working (typically 3 days in the office)
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • 25 days holiday (increasing with service) + bank holidays
  • Private healthcare contribution
  • Life assurance
  • Fully funded exams and structured development support
  • Flexible benefits package (including holiday buy/sell, cycle to work, etc.)
  • Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing support
  • Paid volunteering days

This is a rare opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a highly specialist area of financial planning. You’ll be given the platform to lead an established team, influence strategy, and make a meaningful difference to clients who require expert, compassionate advice.

If you’re an experienced Financial Planning Manager looking for your next step, or a Senior Adviser ready to move into leadership, we’d be keen to speak with you.
