We are working with a highly regarded wealth management and financial planning firm who are looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join their growing team in Guildford.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality financial advice to a broad client base. You will play a key role in supporting Financial Planners by providing technical expertise, research, and suitability report writing across a wide range of financial planning areas.

The Role

As a Paraplanner, you will work closely with Financial Planners to ensure clients receive clear, compliant, and well-structured advice. This is a varied role with exposure to holistic financial planning, including investments, pensions, and protection.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed suitability reports across a broad range of advice areas
  • Conducting technical research to support client recommendations
  • Ensuring all client records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Supporting Financial Planners in achieving the best possible client outcomes
  • Attending client meetings where required, including assisting with cashflow modelling
  • Managing your own workload and meeting agreed deadlines
  • Liaising effectively with Financial Planners and internal stakeholders
  • Contributing to team projects and wider business initiatives

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS)
  • Previous paraplanning experience with strong technical knowledge
  • Experience of writing high-quality suitability reports
  • A desire to continue studying towards Chartered status
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
